Shower Panels are an incredibly cost effective waterproof wall covering which is a big reason as to why they are so popular. We will price the shower panels and accessories needed for a 1200mm x 900mm shower tray as an illustrative example.

Shower Panels for a 2.5M x 2M Bathroom
The graphic illustrates how the pricing example above would fit into a standard 2.5M x 2M bathroom. You would typically use 3 x shower panels for this configuration but it really boils down to personal preference.
Shower Panels Throughout?
The graphic shows the typical configuration but you could extend this to cover the whole bathroom, this would still represent a significant saving over tiles.
If you chose to use shower panels throughout the bathroom consider using two patterns with a darker or lighter pattern on an opposing wall.
Further Options?
For a shower area, shower panels are unbeatable for performance and value and they work well with any wall covering. That could be existing tiles or a painted wall. If you are working to a budget I would recommend looking at Shower Panels.
How much do Ceiling Panels cost?

Ceiling Panels for a 2.5M x 2M Bathroom
The pricing for the ceiling panels using the 2.5M x 2M bathroom example is really straightforward. A standard ceiling panel will be 2.6M long, so if we run the panels along the length of the ceiling the 2.6M panel will cover the 2.5M long ceiling in one length.
Width of Ceiling divided by width of panel.
The width of the ceiling is 2 Metres and if we divide that by the width of the panel that will mean we require 8 panels to complete the ceiling. Ceiling panels are 4 in a pack so that will mean two packs.

Ceiling Panel Accessories
When calculating the price for the ceiling panels we need to also consider the price for the accessories; specifically the trims, adhesive and sealant.
Ceiling Panel Trims
You can choose from a number of trims for your ceiling including Quadrant, Coving, Scotia and End Cap. For this pricing example we will use a Quadrant trim. To cover the perimeter of a 2.5M x 2M bathroom we will require 4 Quadrant Trims
4 x Quadrant Trim (Av price – £7 per trim). 4 Quadrant trim = £28
Adhesive and Silicone Sealant
To fit 8 Ceiling Panels we will require a good quality adhesive and silicone sealant to fix the trims in place. Working on the principle of half a tube of adhesive per 250mm panel we will require 4 tubes of adhesive and for fitting the trims with sealant, 1 tube should be sufficient but I would purchase 2 to make sure you dont run out mid task.

How much do Bathroom Wall Panels Cost? 2023
Bathroom Wall Panels for a 2.5M x 2M Bathroom
To calculate bathroom wall panel cost we will use the same 2.5M x 2M bathroom layout as we did for the Shower Panels. We will add them to the full 2M wall and then 1M to cover the short side of the shower tray.
For the 2M wall we will require 8 panels (200cm divided by 25cm = 8) and for the ‘short’ wall we will require 4 panels (100cm divided by 25cm = 4)

Cost of 12 x Bathroom Wall Panels?
For illustrative purposes we will use Gloss white 8mm wall panel.

We have a ceiling height of 2.4M and the wall panels are generally 2.6M so we will cut 20cm off each panel.
Bathroom Wall Panel Accessories
Just like with the Shower Panels and the Ceiling Panels we must factor in the cost for bathroom wall panel accessories. They will all be similar but there are subtle differences other than the depth.
Bathroom Wall Panel Trims (PVC)
For the bathroom example we are using we will need trims for an installation over a shower tray. This is straightforward and would only require three different trims; End Cap trim, Internal Corner Trim and the cladseal trim.
2 x End Cap Trim (Av price – £7) = £14
1 x Internal Corner Trim (Av price – £7) = £7
2 x Cladseal Trim (Av price – £11) = £22
Adhesive and Silicone Sealant
