Shower Panels for a 900mm Shower Tray
Planning your new bathroom? With the ever increasing popularity of shower panels, more and more customers are looking to install shower panels over a shower tray. So many questions?
How many shower panels do I need? What trims do I need? How do I fit Shower Panels to a Shower Tray?
We will answer all of these questions and more in our buying guide below…
Shower Panels + Shower Tray. The Fast fitting, affordable option.
The traditional go to option for a Shower Tray wall covering has always been tiles. But as we have flagged on numerous occasions, Shower Panels have become an incredibly popular alternative to tiles.
What are the differences between fitting Tiles to Panels over a Shower Tray?
The key difference is speed. With Tiles there is a signifacant amount of preparation involved before fitting the first tile. With Shower Panels as much as you still need a flat surface to adhere to they are far more forgiving.
What are the main items required?
You will require Shower Panels, a CladSeal trim for the base, an internal corner and ideally two end cap trims to cap the panels. You will also require a good quality adhesive and silicone sealant.
What do I need for a 900 x 900mm shower tray?
This is a common scenario in British bathrooms and we often field this very question.
You would require…
2 X Shower Panels
You would run the shower panel to the end of the tray or go longer. Remember – you fit the shower screen to the panel.
1 X Cladseal Trim
We always recommend this trim, they come in 1800mm lengths so you would require one with a mitre join in the corner.
1 x Internal Corner Trim
Another default recommendation. One will be sufficient for the majority of ceiling heights.
2 x End Cap Trims
These are optional but would definitely recommend them.
3 x Adhesive
You would require three tubes of a good quality solvent free adhesive.
1 x Silicone Sealant
Silicone sealant for fitting the cladseal, internal corner and running down the sides of the screen.
