How to Clean Bathroom Wall Panels
How to Clean Bathroom Wall Panels
Bathroom Wall Panels are the easy cleaning solution for your bathroom. When you consider how much time you dedicate to cleaning your tiled bathroom, there is an easier way. Use Bathroom Wall Panels as your wall covering.
There are may reasons why customers choose Bathroom Wall Panels and one of the main reasons is the ease of cleaning. The reality is they require little to no cleaning but the occasional wipe over will keep them looking as clean and crisp as the day they were installed.
We have created a one minute guide for cleaning bathroom wall panels below…
Step 1 – Spray with Soap & Water or dedicated PVC Panel Cleaner.
You can choose a dedicated PVC Panel Cleaner or simply Soap & Water to spray your panels. Our advice is to avoid all harsh chemicals such as bleach as this will damage the PVC Panel.
Simply spray or wash the bathroom panels fully ensuring a good covering including any corners.
You do not need a large volume of liquid as a bathroom panel does not hold onto grime the way tile grout does.
Step 2 – Soak the PVC Wall Panel.
Allow the soapy water or PVC Panel Cleaner to soak in for a few seconds. For most bathroom cleaning you wont need to leave it too long but for stubborn stains you can let it soak for longer.
An important point is with bathroom wall panels you just need a mild cleaning solution, be that soapy water or the dedicated panel cleaners, you must avoid the powerful cleaning products as this will damage the panel.
Please avoid bleach as this will strip the top layer of the panel. Panels do not collect dirt the way tile grout does so cleaning is a lot easier.
Step 3 – Scrub the bathroom wall panel.
After letting the panel soak for a few seconds or a bit longer for stubborn marks use a cloth or non abrasive sponge and wash the panel thoroughly.
With the danger of labouring the point here you really dont have to apply much effort, the cloth will do all the work that is needed.
Pay attention to hard to reach areas such as an internal corner but the soapy solution would have already lifted any dirt.
Step 4 – Dry the Wall Panel with a microfibre towel.
To finish the cleaning of the panels we recommend buffing with a dry microfibre towel, this will avoid any smears.
For gloss panels this final action will add a degree of shine and with matt panels it will ensure an even finish to the panel.
Your panels are now clean. The easiest way to clean your bathroom is to make it easy with the wall covering. Tiles take work to clean (especially the grout), PVC cladding does not.
Cleaning Bathroom Wall Panels | Cleaners to AVOID!
Do not use any Bleach agent!
Bathroom Wall Panels make cleaning your bathroom a simple task. You do not need to scrub and you do not need the powerful cleaning chemicals you would typically use to clean grout.
With that in mind it is important to flag that any bleach will damage a PVC cladding panel and must be avoided.
How does bleach damage a PVC Panel?
The bleaching agent will strip the panel of its protective outer layer and then impact the decorative layer underneath.
Bathroom panels do require a different approach to cleaning your bathroom, much easier and much quicker. They do not require the hard work that you would typically associate with cleaning your bathroom.

Can Bathroom Wall Panels Help prevent Mould?
Bathroom Wall Panels and Mould?
Do Bathroom Wall Panels help prevent Mould? I am fielding this question more than ever this year, which isnt really a surprise considering the issues we are facing heating our homes.
To answer this question we have to consider what is causing the mould in the first place – this will be moistiure levels and the variations in temperature found in your home. When moist air hits a cold surface, condensation will form and if this is left untreated mould will follow.
Will Panels help prevent mould?
I would say yes they will help BUT they will not stop it.
To stop the mould you need to remove that damp air and improve air circulation around the home. This can be achieved with lifestyle changes and/or mechanical filtration.
Where panels will help is they will offer a degree of insulation so the wall wont be as cold but more importantly they are a non porous surface so mould will not be able to anchor the way it can on a painted plastered wall or ceiling.
The biggest advantage a wall panel will offer is how easy they are to clean. A wipe over with soap and water and its gone, a painted wall you will have to clean and then paint. Grout you will need to clean with a dedicated anti mould cleaner that is so strong its better to not know what it is made of.
